Restrictive Covenants and Trade Secrets

Important, practical updates

On Monday morning, July 27, 2020, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute will hold a half-day webinar on Restrictive Covenants and Trade Secrets, which will feature Attorney Christine Nentwig, Co-Chair of CGA’s Labor and Employment Department, and Attorney Jeff Worley from Gibbel, Kraybill and Hess, presenting a session titled, No-Hire/No-Poach Agreements: The Latest Developments.

The rapidly evolving law surrounding no-hire/no-poach agreements has the potential to affect businesses of all sizes in a wide range of industries, and the session will provide important, practical updates on current Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission guidance regarding such agreements, the efforts of various states’ attorneys general to initiate investigations and enforcement actions against violators, the impact of recent no-poach cases in Pennsylvania and across the country, and real-world examples designed to facilitate discussion.

In addition to no-hire/no-poach agreements, the webinar will feature sessions providing an in-depth look at recent developments affecting non-compete agreements and trade secret protection presented by attorneys including the Senior VP Chief Counsel of Litigation, Employment and Benefits with CIGNA Corporation, and respected employment attorneys from several large Philadelphia law firms.

This informative seminar will provide 3 substantive attorney CLE credits and will be of value to in-house and outside counsel, franchise owners, as well as corporate leaders responsible for implementing, negotiating, and enforcing restrictive covenants.
