Spending the summer at CGA provided a unique learning experience that can’t be replicated in a classroom. This summer, I learned how to interact with clients, work as a team, and experience different areas of law under the guidance of experienced attorneys. Working through different practice areas allowed me to have hands-on experience and learn about areas of law that I never imagined myself doing, let alone liking. I never thought I would enjoy doing estate work or real estate, but after sitting through and observing estate document signings and real estate settlements, I saw how happy it made the clients. I realized that the part of law I enjoyed was truly helping people and seeing how the CGA lawyers helped them.
Besides learning more about the law, CGA provided a positive work environment, where I spent time with attorneys outside of the workplace at baseball games, social events, and even Hershey Park. My favorite event was going to Hersheypark and screaming on rollercoasters with my bosses. Attending events like this allowed me to get to know the attorneys on a more personal level. I looked forward to the different events that were planned and always enjoyed talking with the attorneys and getting to know them better.
I learned so much about what it is like to work in a law firm this summer and looked forward to coming here each day. Whether I went to court, observed a client meeting, or worked on an assignment, I knew each day would provide a different and unique task.
