Overview
Jeffrey Rehmeyer II is the past CGA Law Firm President and served as the firm’s leader for nearly ten years. Jeff is fueled by a belief that planning today creates protection for businesses and families tomorrow. Jeff forms relationships with his clients, which include large and small businesses, municipalities, families and individuals. His work begins by developing an understanding of their situation, actual or anticipated challenges, and goals. Jeff sees the client first, not the case. Over the course of his legal career, Jeff has led many clients through different legal needs, from business to family to estate and individual, which gives his clients a remarkable advantage through a multi-faceted approach to the law and legal issues.
Jeff provides counsel in the following areas:
- Estate Planning for adults of all ages, to include the drafting of Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Advance Directives for medical matters (Health Care Power of Attorney and Living Will)
- Estate Administration, probate and ancillary work
- Personal matters of most types, including counsel and advice
- Contracts for the purchase and sale of goods, services, and other transactions
- Business entity formation, governance and acquisitions/sales
- Corporate finance and loan documentation, including notes, bonds, mortgages and other agreements
- Real estate matters, including residential and commercial purchases, sales, leases and financing
- Real estate settlements, including the issuance of title insurance and coordination with lenders
- Intellectual property, including copyrights, trademarks and licenses
Jeff’s legal career began with a variety of matters, including mediation, arbitration and litigation before both State and Federal Courts. As his specialization progressed, he emphasized estate planning, business and real estate matters. In many circumstances, Jeff maintains close relationships with his clients that enable him to offer valued counsel, avoid problems, and when problems inevitably arise, deal with them efficiently and effectively, while protecting the rights of his clients.
As part of his business and estate planning work, Jeff has also completed thousands of real estate transactions, which include purchases, sales or refinances of residential, commercial and industrial properties. Additionally, Jeff is adept in working with municipal, local and state governmental and regulatory entities.
Jeff has assisted clients with estate planning since he entered the practice of law, as many would seek his counsel on these important, personal matters. As time has progressed, Jeff has facilitated an increasing amount of estate planning and administration for his clients, seeking to help them protect their loved ones and assets.
