Distinguished Young Women is a nationwide scholarship program that has successfully opened the door of opportunity for young women since its beginning in 1958. It is the oldest and largest scholarship program for high school girls in the United States. The program recognizes and rewards outstanding students for their accomplishments with scholarship dollars. This scholarship program includes the following five areas of competition: Academic Achievement, Interview, Talent, Fitness and Self Expression.
